This class has been time and brain consuming for the last four semesters, i can't believe i finally finished!! I still have tons going on with finals this week, and i get to move again this weekend. But starting next week i will just be working full time until january (and doing some traveling here and there :D) I got to see the kids on fourth of july, which was super awesome. :) Here are just some adventures that've been goin on lately

Inspired By Peter Pan

It's that time. Summer time. Adults should not exist during this time of year. I like to make sure I do my part by staying child-like and playing a lot outside, and avoiding homework. I was too much of a study-dork as a kid anyway, it's about time i make up for it.
this is the best picture of a hilarious double date i went on last week. Zack and Jesika Whittle are some of my best friends. They would be considered "cool" married people. They're absolutely hillarious. We went on a "photo scavenger hunt" and while we took close to 60 pictures, i decided to put some of my favorites on here. This particular one was for the caption on the list we were supposed to complete, "i can't believe they all fit in there!" Zack jacked a janitors sign so no one would come in and we all fit in one stall in the mens bathroom. Thank goodness for timers on cameras.
for the caption "make someone look very small"
"take a picture with a redhead"-- we found my friend Noah, we went to high school together :)
this was from a deserted area of school that we may or may not be allowed to be in...there was a lot of construction and no people. so that was really fun. we waited for this elevator for a long time. then we realized it was broken.
rolling down a hill. i forgot how fast those guys are! holy cow! i couldn't stand up for like a whole minute.
at the bottom
i just kept going and going and going...
cinder-amber and cinder-kevin.
this picture reminded me of maddi as a baby and grandmas fireplace. she was so naughty, i rarely saw her OUT of the fireplace i think.
back from Narnia.
this was a longer fall than i expected. also kevin turned into a tazmanian devil.
another place i'm sure we weren't supposed to be.
running through sprinklers was worth having wet jeans the rest of the night.
we should probably be gum commercial models.
i wonder how many pianos this school actually has hidden away in all these lost rooms around campus. and i wonder if a single one of them is actually in tune.
inside the BYU-I podium, which i'm sure President Clark gives speeches from. this is my "i really really really hope this doesn't break" face.
we weren't on stilts. it's a mystery...
playing matrix in an elevator. i told you-this post is all about being childish.
is this street legal?
what else childish could i possibly do? how about get three hours of sleep by going to the midnight premire of Eclipse (did you know it doesn't ever actually start at midnight? ya, i didn't either) it was fun. although i wanted to kill all the high schoolers in front of me. Was i really that bad? probably. i hope not. There were hardly any college kids there because this technically was breaking curfew. those goodie goods. ;)
considering the whole post has been about kids, i thought i'd end with some of my favorites!! i love my cousins and it was so good to see everyone!! lets do it again soon!!

all my love,

amber dawn :)

one month of school left!! then done til 2011!! :D

Greetings!!!!
i dunno really know why i said greetings. it's kind of a weird word, but i'm gonna go ahead and use it anyway.
first of all- i miss everyone. so bad. i'm getting so so so excited to visit North Carolina at the end of Aug/start of Sep. also, im on the logistics team for PASIC 2010, so i'll be spending close to a week in Indiana in November this year. (pasic is a huge percussion deal...i'm going with my professor and other percussion majors to see everything the percussive arts society international convention has to offer) :D

i know kevin is pretty much in every one of these upcoming pictures. but no one worry, i'm not insanely obsessed with my boyfriend or anything...we just kind of do everything together now and i can't get him outta my dang pictures ;)

so here are just some pix from the last few weeks and all our grand adventures. school is getting, well, insanely annoying. pretty sure i'll never catch up. sometimes i feel like ill fail everything if the lack of sleep doesn't kill me first. i should probably just drop out. probably.

work is still great. i just work with a lot of vitamins.
pilllllssss!!!

practicing for our gig at the old folks home: (theres a link below to my facebook vid if you wanna hear us sing the song)

http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/video/video.php?v=397940415666&subj=708075666

the best shirt. of all time.
"no woman's gonna tell me what to do." i needed to borrow a tshirt and he came out of his room holding this one. the story makes it that much better.

"SPOONING"
ive decided people get into the strangest fights at around midnight.
the lack of sleep makes you do weird things.

trip to utah!!
after work and a road trip TCBYs is just what the doctor ordered.
my banana split looks like a tie dyed hot dog i know i know.
it was vanilla flavored but looked like play dough. i have ALWAYS wanted to try this stuff.
mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.......
utah was great--his family is a lot of fun, we had dinner with my dad too, and squeezed in a missionary farewell, catching up with friends, and visiting his grandparents (apparently his grandma worked with my dad's mom for years. utah is really kinda small i decided)
we are superstars because we did all of this between saturday and sunday night. short trip.
go team.
also sometimes we're big dorks.
our bestie David Love, and his finace invited us over for a wicked fun movie night. they had love sacks there piled on top of each other. those things are huge, almost touching the ceiling. trying to jump onto one was way more fun that watching a movie. falling off...even funnier.
prepare yourselves for some of the best band geek pictures of all time.
this is on our way to a gig we played for spirit week. did you know BYU-I has its own cauldron? neither did we. i tried really hard to pretend it wasn't lame.

our friend Rachel had a b-day dinner at Applebees. we got these yummy kiwi-lemonade things. they looked a lot like swamp water though.
i'll just close by saying you all should feel very lucky i didn't even put half the pictures i have on here, you felt like this was too many? please :)
I love you guys a LOT. i'm so blessed and love how the Lord has put my life together for me.
I hope everyone is doing well, love to hear from you soon :)
much love, amber dawn :)

there was snow in may..i have hope for june. *fingers crossed*

i would like to begin with a picture of my good friend Landon. this is in late may. nothing about this is ok. thank you Rexburg.

this is a cave.... that yes, i was brave enough to venture into. cold and somewhat scary experience, but pretty neat. singing the Indiana Jones theme song helped a lot.

memorial day!!!- This weekend was great!! i got to see colette and will, josh and marcie, sum and jared, and all those kids!! I love watching their personalities develop- it's hillarious, we had several "kids say the darndest things" moments of our own this weekend. colette has all the pictures so as soon as cecilia puts them online i'll have to share them :) we have some great pictures of all our fun times (like bumper cars at pojos...those things spin FAST) :)

this is me milking the electronic cow Bessie at PoJos :)

we were very good and made sure to get a good workout in (Jillian Michaels 30 day shred! ahhh!!) ya, she kind of scares me. the kids had to try it after the grown ups. they did awesome.

i love maci and liam's little conversation at the end here...

this is me being famous!! lol- just a little clip from our new website at the "meet our staff" part. my boss spotlighted me as "an accomplished drummer" which makes me laugh every time: http://www.naturesnook.net/retailer/store_templates/ret_about_us.asp?storeID=7A7848F68DF34ED6A44B61B627AA38DE

fun adventures with the boyfriend...

ok so the whole fam has been asking about my boyfriend Kevin. i know i know. the name. but he is great through and through and we have a blast. in the short time we've been dating we've had about a million and five adventures, so i thought i'd spoil you all with close to that many pictures of the adventures. lucky you.

this is our first adventure together, being on the poster that advertised our drum concert in march. we've been playing in RixStix together since January, but at the time of this picture we had NO idea that we'd end up dating. hahah life is funny like that. but we were totally buds at this time.

this is one of our earlier adventures. game night at Jess and Dan's. absolute blast, and we even got these killer apple juice martinis spiked with mt dew. that's the good stuff.

experimenting with Smooth-Aways. sometimes, you just gotta try out those infomercial products for yourself. this one actually kind of works. like sand paper.

this date turned out to cost 60 bucks, with dinner and the car getting booted. we were in the 15 minute parking a tad too long at my house. they watch that lot like hawks i tell you. he was totally a good sport about it. but now if he picks me up he parks like 4 blocks away and walks to come get me....just in case.

concert nights....here's another thing he's a good sport about. as a music major i have to attend 8 concerts a semester from all kinds of different genres. he's only a music minor, but he comes with me anyway. the concerts here are normally pretty great anyway. except for those unfortunate cases of awkward audience applause. i think i need to lecture the whole school about it at devotional.

i did mention we play percussion together, which is motivation for me to continue praticing. here are some pictures in the practice room, when sometimes you just have to rest your brain for a minute. i swear we practice music in here, despite some of the comments i get from our fellow drummers at school. hahah. they're so jealous.

having fun making dinner: (what? sometimes pasta can be really funny)

kevin learning to paint my nails. he picked out the color and everything. this was all his idea, i would never make a man do this. but he suprisingly did a really good job. i was proud.
getting ready for yet another concert night.
well now that i'm sure i've sparked enough conversation for all of you to call each other and gossip i should probably go to bed soon. it's the middle of the night and i work in the morning...
LOVE YOU GUYSSSS
